OPPAM is a holistic project that integrates economic, social, and technological strategies to uplift marginalized communities, particularly women and tribal groups. Through the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, including the Kerala Bamboo Mission, LSGD, Tribal Department, and the University of Kerala, OPPAM stands as a model of inclusive and sustainable development. Initially the project was launched at Manithookki tribal settlement at Vithura Grama Panchayat, after successful completion of the training at Manithookki regimen the project Oppam extended its project areas to other settlements Manali, Maruthamala, Peppara, Ponnamchund and Kallar. The success of these steps gives greater picture in expanding it further in other marginalized sections in our society.
